FURTHER TALES OF A LONDON FIREMAN
This is the second book by the author, continuing his tales of
what it is like to serve at some of London's busiest fire
stations. Once again the stories are of drama, and above all the
inherent humour of firemen. So that you are never quite sure
whether to laugh or to cry. The subject matter of the stories is
diverse in the extreme. Each chapter, is a complete collection of
anecdotes, on similar subjects, so as to make the reader wonder
what comes next.
The authors previous book was described in American reviews, 'as
the best first person account of firefighting ever!'. Be warned!
Whilst this book has received many glowing reviews. It does have
a downside, this book is not recommended for bedtime reading, if
you sleep with a partner: Constant laughing and chuckling at
bedtime, rather tends to annoy them!
